Paid Holiday for Employees on Municipal Elections Day – Maharashtra (02 December 2025)

The Government of Maharashtra has issued a circular granting paid leave to employees who are eligible voters on 02 December 2025, the day of Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council elections.
This paid holiday or special voting leave is mandatory to ensure that all employees can exercise their right to vote without loss of wages. Employers must comply with this direction, failing which action may be taken as per law
