The Government of Punjab has revised the minimum wages under the Code on Wages, 2019, effective from 1st May 2026.
As per the notification (see table on page 1), the revised daily wages are:
- Unskilled: ₹518.69
- Semi-Skilled: ₹553.19
- Skilled: ₹592.84
- Highly Skilled: ₹638.50
The revision applies to all employments and ensures fair wages based on skill level. Employers must comply and cannot pay below these prescribed rates.
