The Telangana Labour Department has revised minimum wages based on the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI). These revised wages are applicable from 01 April 2026 to 30 September 2026 and include Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA).
As per the official press note, CPI increased by 54 points for industrial workers and 12 points for agricultural workers, impacting wage calculations.
The updated wages cover multiple sectors like construction, shops & establishments, engineering, and security services, with different pay rates for skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers. For example, in building operations, total wages range approximately from ₹12,778 (unskilled) to ₹14,346 (skilled) depending on the category (see tables on pages 2–5).
Employers must ensure compliance with these revised wages to avoid legal issues and maintain fair labor practices.
