Uttar Pradesh Minimum Wages – April 2026 Update

The Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced a revision in minimum wages effective from 1st April 2026 to 30th September 2026, considering the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

As per the notification, the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) has been updated, leading to an increase in overall wages for workers across different categories. This ensures that employees are better protected against inflation and rising living costs.

The revised monthly wages are approximately:

  • Unskilled workers: ₹11,313.65
  • Semi-skilled workers: ₹12,445
  • Skilled workers: ₹13,940.37

These changes will impact multiple industries and establishments covered under the Minimum Wages Act, helping improve financial stability for workers.

Overall, this revision reflects the government’s effort to maintain a balance between economic conditions and worker welfare.
